W poniższych ćwiczeniach (poziom A2) warto poćwiczyć lub przypomnieć sobie znaczenie poszczególnych wh-words.
1. Put the correct wh-word in the gaps to form correct wh-questions.
A: Hello mate. _______ are you today?
B: Hello! I’m quite fine. How about you?
A: I’m really great. I’m just coming back from work.
B: Oh, I see. _________ do you work?
A: I work for MTU in Jasionka as an office worker, you know.
B: That’s interesting!
A: Did you get married? Any kids?
B: I’m married. Yeah, I have two lovely kids, two boys.
A: Wow! ___________ did you get married to?
B: My wife comes from Asia. Have you ever been there?
A: Unfortunately, not. Really? _________ country does she come from?
B: She was born in China. I met her at a Chinese university. I went there on a student exchange.
A: Seriously? _____________time did you spend there? ___________did you do there after classes?
B: Well, to be honest, it was one of the best experiences that I had ever had. I spent there half a year. After lectures we hit the city centre for dinner.
A: Really? Did you like Chinese food? ______________is a meal there?
B: Yes, I did. It was totally new stuff to me. It depends on the restaurant you go to. You can buy a meal for 10$, but you can also buy it for 20$.
A: I must go now. I need to pick my daughter up from nursery. If you like, we can meet one day to talk over a cup of coffee.
B: Great idea? ____________are you available on weekdays?
A: This week I can meet between 5pm and 6pm. Does it suit you fine? B: Yeah, It’s ok with me. ___________don’t we meet at my place?
